A grade 5 lesson exploring how matter changes states through an experiment. Lesson was conducted online in virtual learning. Educator built a small snowman for students to observe throughout the week of online learning.

Light & Sound in our Environment

A grade four lesson focusing on understanding the implications and short / long term effects of using light and sound energy in our environment.

Internal & External Forces

A grade five lesson looking at building a structure while considering internal forces that assist in structure. After we experimented with building a structure, we tested it's ability to stay standing with an external force.

Students are giving the opportunity to create their own cookie recipe to demonstrate their comprehension of procedural writing.

Medie Poster Advertisment

After learning about the component of advertising, students design a poster to advertise their cookie they designed for procedural writing.

To conclude learning about bullying and the types of bullying, we made kindness shirts to promote inclusivity and acceptance. Health and media based rubric included.

Mindfullness Activities

Sticky Situations

A lesson on personal safety to help students learn how to handle sticky situations. Students are given the opportunity to act out various scenarios to practise what they would do.
